The Perfume Sommelier

Birkholz. Fragrance sommelier Philip Birkholz creates each of our exclusive fragrance compositions using the finest ingredients and notes. During his travels, he gathers inspiration for our creations and, together with renowned perfumers, brings them to life in the accords of every Birkholz perfume.

The Manufactory

Our workshop serves as both our headquarters and our production facility, where all of our fragrances are finished by hand. It is located in a historic setting at Checkpoint Bravo in the Europark Dreilinden in Kleinmachnow. The location exudes Berlin charm with a blend of style and elegance. Since our founding in 2017, all production processes have taken place in our workshop—from fragrance creation and logistics to customer service. Both Katrin and Nasyr Birkholz, as well as their two sons, Philip and Sven Birkholz, work for the company, with each of them playing a key role. With over 20 years of experience, we apply our expertise to create custom fragrance compositions, crafting the perfect work of art for every customer.

Production

At our factory, all perfumes are handcrafted using our proprietary filling machines. Our high-quality perfume oils come from the world’s best and most renowned perfume oil manufacturers: Firmenich from Switzerland, Givaudan, Robertet, and Moellhausen from France, and Bell and Drom from Germany. We also offer the highest quality in terms of fragrance oil concentration: The fragrance oil concentration in our scents ranges from 18 to 25 percent, allowing you to enjoy the scents for longer. Since every perfume is as unique as the person wearing it, we offer special customization options for our fragrances from the “Classic Collection” collection , where you can design your own bottles. From choosing the color of the bottle cap—made of exclusive, hand-stitched Italian leather—to adding a personalized engraving.

Every fragrance note in our perfumes tells a very special story. All Our perfumes are bottled and refined to the highest quality standards at our Berlin workshop using luxurious, carefully selected ingredients, creating a perfect work of art for every customer. To help you find the perfect fragrance online, you can Scent Type Test take a test using our specially developed online sommelier tool . At the end of this test, you’ll be presented with four fragrance suggestions that youcan have delivered directly to your home in asommelier set.

Our Locations

In total , we have over 300 retail locationsin Germany. You can find our fragrances at places like the KaDeWe department store in Berlin, Galerie Lafayette in Berlin, Breuninger department stores, and the Pieper perfumery , as well as in
exclusive concept stores such as Apropros.

Since 2023, we’ve also been active on the international market and continue to expand. We hope this will allow us to enrich the lives of even more people worldwide with our fragrance creations. You can now also find us at our new retail locations in Vietnam, Spain, and Mexico.
