The world of fragrances is full of surprises and there are always new trends conquering the market. One trend that has enjoyed great popularity for some time now is hair perfume. It is hard to imagine perfumeries and fragrance stores without the beautiful scents for hair and more and more people are using the fragrant sprays to give their hair a pleasant scent in addition to shampoos and conditioners. In this article, you can find out what exactly is behind this popular trend, what exactly hair perfume is and how to find the perfect hair fragrance.
To give your hair a fragrant scent, you don't just have to rely on the limited fragrance selection of shampoos or conditioners. For an additional fragrance of your choice, you can also use a hair perfume to create individual accents that allow you to express your personality even better. Hair perfumes work just like conventional perfumes and are available in many different fragrances, so you can choose according to your individual preferences. To make it a little easier for you to choose the right product, we explain in this article how hair perfume differs from regular perfume and body mist and which hair perfume is right for you.

How does hair perfume differ from conventional perfume?
Although hair perfume is of course also a type of perfume, there are a few differences to bear in mind. For example, you should not use conventional perfume as a hair perfume, but only use special hair mist. The reason for this lies in the ingredients. While perfume generally has a high alcohol content, the composition of hair perfume is somewhat milder, as alcohol can dry out or damage the hair. For this reason, the intensity of the fragrance is usually lower than that of conventional eau de toilette or eau de parfum. In addition, the Hair Mist does not last as long as an eau de parfum and is usually only noticeable for around 6 hours.
What is the difference between Body Mist and Hair Mist?
Hair perfume is often referred to as hair mist in English, and sometimes also in Germany. The comparison with body mist is therefore obvious - and not without reason, as body mist, i.e. perfumed body spray, can often also be used as hair mist and is often designed for both. You can also use Body Mists from Birkholz as hair perfume. However, before you reach for body mist in the store, perfumery or drugstore to perfume your hair, you should take a close look at the ingredients. Although body mist is often formulated in such a way that it is also suitable as a hair perfume, the concentration of alcohol or fragrance oils is too high in some products. So first make sure that it is a suitable body mist.
Just as with regular eau de parfum, there is a large selection of different

How do you use hair perfume?
Hair perfume is just as easy to apply as conventional perfume. Simply hold the spray about 20 to 30 cm away from your hair and spray 2 to 3 times until the desired fragrance intensity is achieved. Make sure your hair is dry and your hairstyle is ready. The main reason for this is that you should not use heat after application, as this could have a negative effect on the fragrance. If you apply the hair perfume first thing in the morning, you can repeat the application throughout the day as needed to refresh the fragrance. How intense you like your fragrance and which shade you ultimately choose is of course entirely up to you. The most important thing is that your hair perfume adapts exactly to you and your taste and reflects your individuality.
